Mission San Xavier del Bac

Mission San Xavier del Bac

The Mission San Xavier del Bac sits in the desert outside of Tucson, on the Tohono O'odham Nation San Xavier Indian Reservation. It was constructed in the late 18th century (1783-1979) after its previous incarnation was destroyed in an Apache raid. It is an absolutely beautiful example of Spanish architecture in the American southwest. Franciscan friars still live at the mission, and it is still a pilgrimage site for the faithful. Highly recommended visit.

Photo Dump: Downtown Atlanta

Had the good fortune to spend a few days in Atlanta recently, and I took these photos between downtown and the Sweet Auburn neighborhood, home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sustainable Chesapeake

Sustainable Chesapeake

This month I had the opportunity to travel across the western portion of Virginia to document farms working with Sustainable Chesapeake, including one of VA's only hemp farms.   Here are a few shots from those quick visits.

Central West Virginia

Central West Virginia

While on a recent trip through the state on assignment, I pulled over to take these photos of the rolling hills of central West Virginia.  Beautiful.
